Hello to everyone! My name is Lev Simcha and this is my website for my farm. Thank you for being here. I hope you enjoy the ride. I had a great day today BH. I woke up with a motivation to take my flock to better pastures. I have spent the past couple of months going to the same three hills and to the lowland that connects between them all. Today I followed a different path to a hill which I cannot remember the last time I was on it. I have been avoiding that hill for a while because the only other time I was on it the flock just ran up until they got to the top and then they ran all the way back down with out eating much at all. But I had to go up there because the flock has already eaten most of the food in our regular areas which we go.
So up we went. Like last time, they made it straight to the top pretty quickly. But this time I was determined not to let them run back down. So I defended against it. Defended hard. And eventually they started to slow down their pace a bit and eat.
Going to a new place with the flock is refreshing for the flock but also for the shepherd. New views, a new perspective. Seeing the same hills from different angles. Also getting to know the layout of the new place. Different nooks and crannies in the hill. Different rock formations, caves, vegetation. And the food was great for the flock. I also saw a rakafet for the first time this season! Rakafot, i dont know what to call them in english are pretty pink flowers that grow upward and then switch direction and dive downward. Hopefully ill get a picture next time. I told them "hello and welcome back! So good to see you beauties!" They responded and said "good to be seen!" So yeah ill get a picture next time dont worry.
Wow are you still with me? Because i have more to say. Ive also been battling a cold. I connected to my breathing and now i have a hypothesis that the way to clear a stuffy nose is just by breathing through it. In through the nose out through the mouth I feel a lot better tbh BH thank God. I was thinking that maybe the wind is God's breath. An inhale is a wind from one direction, an exhale is from the opposite direction. Makes sense. So yeah we spent the rest of the day on this new hill. Then we went down the hil, over another, and then did the final ascent homeward.
We got home and it turns out i was out with the flock for about an hour and a half longer than we have been out most days lately. I could tell they were satisfied. Also, when i got home i saw that my new feeding trough was built and delivered! Great work Tamar Ruchama! Then I went up to my friend Ariel's, we had a coffee and then we played some great music. Will bzh post a video of the song when it is ready. Thanks for reading and be in touch.
